Thank you for stopping by! I’m David Q. Jin, owner and principal photographer of Choice Jade Photography. Here’s a little bit about me.
I believe in authentic storytelling. I believe that best photographs have a soul. I believe that every couple has a love story that deserves to be told, beautifully.
I love natural light. And I’m a sucker for the romantic, sun-kissed portraiture at the golden hour. But I don’t shy away from speedlites or strobes. I’ll use whatever tool I need to create fresh, heartfelt, and timeless images that showcase both your style and personality. (See what’s in my bags.)
I believe that wedding photography is not just another expense: it’s an investment of a lifetime. A great wedding photographer doesn’t just provide good images that document your wedding day: he creates a legacy, he creates tangible memories that last. I’m happily married.
I love dogs, but currently moonlight as a cat dad.
What inspires me the most (in no particular order): lakes, rivers, the ocean, mountains, woodland, sunset, early November morning, music, the smell of coffee, and people crazy in love.
Fun fact: I had always thought I was going to be a philosopher and I almost did!
When I’m not out photographing weddings, engagements or portraits, you’ll find me jogging, hiking, or playing a racket sport of some kind (and my friends seem to agree that I’m exceptionally good at one of them and let’s leave it at that).
This is my story. I can’t wait to tell yours!
Whether you want to admit it or not, we all want to the world a better place. Photography is my way of doing it because I believe in the power of great images. (Whatever they’ve said about pictures and words is true.)
I’m a supporter of Wish Upon A Wedding, the world’s first non-profit organization that grants weddings and vow renewals for couples facing serious illness or a life-altering circumstance.
I also photograph for On Angels’ Wings, a non-profit organization based in Springfield, MO that provides free photography service and support for families facing the possibility of child loss.
Both of these are awesome organizations. Give them a call if you know someone who’s in need!
