This editorial engagement shoot with Lalita and Roman was a lot of fun! It was a sunny spring afternoon and the breeze was chilly. But these two were open to all my ideas, were so easy to work with, and we all had a GREAT time.
So we shot along Maryland Plaza in Central West End (right behind Chase Park Plaza, a wedding venue that I absolutely love). And then we headed to Forest Park, where we spent most of our time. I scouted a few hidden spots beforehand that are rarely photographed. And we caught a glimpse of the first beams of sunset.
I’m glad that I got to test the legendary Sigma 35mm 1.4 DG HSM Art lens (Guys, get your hands on one if you haven’t. IT IS SERIOUSLY AMAZING!) and a few new concepts that I had been playing with in my head. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary. But it’s so refreshing, so liberating, that you’ll realize that everything is worth it.
I couldn’t be happier with the results. Here are the highlights from the day. Enjoy!
Their 12×12 engagement album is a gorgeous complement to the photo shoot. Check it out. And below is what it looks like inside:
