The booking process is simple: when you sign our wedding photography contract and pay the $750 deposit, you’re all set! The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding day. Payment plans are available.

“Will you be the one who’s going to photograph our wedding?”

Of course! Choice Jade Photography is NOT one of those studios that work with associates, or contract their bookings out to other photographers. Everything from communication, photography, post-processing, and album design is handled by us, to ensure a consistent experience.

(Also, in case you haven’t noticed, when I say “we”, I’m just referring the many hats that I’m wearing: photographer, retoucher, and album designer. I just don’t want to sound like I’m talking about ME all the time. I hope that’s not too confusing?)

As the owner and principal photographer, I will be with you every step of the process, from start to finish. I will sometimes have a trusted second photographer with me to help tell a complete story of your wedding day.

“Speaking of a second photographer, do we need one?”

A lot of times, having a second photographer is a matter of necessity. For instance, you and your fiancé are getting ready at two different locations and it would be impractical for me to travel from one location to the other.

Two photographers can also offer two complementary perspectives on your wedding day. Although I will try my best to capture all the important moments, unexpected or otherwise, an extra pair of eyes will come extremely handy during the first look, will save  a lot of time when we do wedding party pictures, and will be great for candids at the reception.

“What’s a first look?”

A first look is when your husband-to-be (and sometimes, your father) sees you in your wedding dress for the first time BEFORE the ceremony. As a wedding photographer, I LOVE it because it can be an extremely magical moment and great for photos. From my experience, couples tend to feel less stressed after the first look. “What kind of camera do you use?”

I use two full-frame camera bodies and all prime lenses. I revealed what’s all in my bags here. But cameras don’t take good pictures: people do.

“Do you offer albums?”

You bet! We believe in crafting tangible memories that last. It has nothing to do with a photographer’s pride, with their desire of seeing their work printed and displayed–okay, maybe a little bit. Rather, we want to create something tangible that you can hold onto, a family heirloom that you’ll be able to pass down from generation to generation, not a flash drive that your grandchildren have no idea how to access. (Just think of floppy disks or VHS’s!)

“We don’t see any family formals on your website. Do you do them?”

Absolutely!

We typically do family photos right after the ceremony. Please allot at least 30 minutes.

“We just got back from our honeymoon. Can we see our photos?”

Most likely not. We’re probably still recovering!!!

Bu the good news is, you won’t have to wait for months to get your photos back. For weddings, we have a guaranteed 4-week turnaround. Engagement photos are typically delivered within 2 weeks.

The estimated timeframes only apply to the delivery of online galleries. Please expect extra waiting time for album or print orders.

“How many photos will we receive?”

As many as there are, except for those that are duplicate, blurry, blinkys, or substandard.

Just to give you an idea: for weddings, we deliver 50 photos per hour on average; for portrait sessions, we average 35 photos/hour.

We don’t deliver unedited, RAW images. (Have you ever heard of any chef who serves raw steak?) All the images that you’ll receive are color-corrected, with basic retouching. (Heavily edited images become dated very quickly. And we like to keep everything organic, clean, and timeless.)

“Can we share our photos on social media?”

All of your weddings photos (or purchased digital files from portrait sessions) come with a print release that allows you to use any of the photos for personal purposes. When you do share photos on social media, our only request is that you give us credit by tagging our page (our Facebook page is “Choice Jade Photography” and our Instagram handle is “choicejadephotography“) or linking to our website (www.choicejadephotography.com).

One quick tip: When you “heart” the images you like from your wedding (or photo session) in your online gallery, all of your favorites will be saved in one place and you can easily share them anywhere you like without having to upload. And, sometimes, we provide web-sized versions ready to share so that you don’t have to upload the original files.

“Our wedding venues require liability insurance. Are you insured?”

YES! We have general liability coverage of up to $1,000,000.

“Do you travel?”

The answer is a resounding YES!

We don’t charge travel fee for weddings within 60 miles of 63130.
