What better way to commit to a life-long journey together than tying the knot in the path of totality of the Great American Eclipse five hours away from home? As Bobby and Adam put it,
“It’s a once in a lifetime event to experience. With all of the star watching and looking up that we’ve done since the day we met, it only seemed appropriate to use this day to our advantage. Neither of us are particularly religious per se… spiritually aware of the vastness of all things in the universe would be a more appropriate description. We truly believe that we bring a balance and harmony to each other’s lives that we’ve never known before. What better day to celebrate our relationship than on a day where the sun and moon, the driving forces of all life as we know it, are in perfect harmony with each other above us.”
Bobby and Adam’s elopement in St. Louis was so unforgettable in so many ways, not in the least because of the solar eclipse. We spent three hours in Carondelet Park, totally in awe of the spectacular show that Nature had put on for us; and then chilled on the beautiful patio of the Park Avenue Mansion where they were staying before heading to the Grotto Bridge in Lafayette Park for their ceremony.
I’m still working on the photos, but couldn’t wait to share just a few from the ceremony. Stay tuned for more!
